Halal, a given — not a marketing argument

In Algeria, halal is the default way of life. But not every tour operator truly builds it into their organisation. A restaurant can label itself “halal” without serious certification. A hotel can match on paper without being suited to a Muslim family in practice.

At Zayid Travels, we don't just tick a box. Every address we recommend has been checked by us, on the ground. We work only with restaurants whose supply chain we know, and hotels whose rooms we've visited and whose staff we've met.

What “halal-friendly” actually means with us

• All meals included in the circuit are served in certified halal restaurants, selected and tested by our team
• Zero alcohol in the circuits, recommended hotels and organised events
• Prayer times are woven naturally into each day's schedule
• The selected hotels offer quiet, family-friendly rooms with quality bedding
• For veiled travellers: we inform you in advance of dress codes by site, to avoid any surprises
• On request: directions to mosques near each stop of the circuit

A team that shares your values

This is not a marketing stance. The Zayid Travels team is itself Muslim and practising. We organise trips we would take ourselves, for our own families.

It changes everything in how we prepare a stay: we think of the small details that make the difference — the direction of the qibla in the room, the availability of a prayer mat, the option to order a pork-free meal at every stop. We anticipate these details because we live them ourselves.
